Surveillance video shows watch thieves
A watch store and police hope that surveillance video will lead to the arrest of two burglary suspects who were caught on camera.
Surveillance footage appears to have captured the two suspects walking into Time Zone, breaking into a locked display case and making off with a custom Casio G-Shock watch valued at more than $2,000.
Store owner Ovaid Shair says she is thankful to have the security system because she did not know the watch was missing until she was checking inventory days later. She says she was making repairs in the back room when the theft occurred.
Police described the thieves as sneaky, saying this incident does not seem to be their first time stealing from a high-end shop.
Police say the suspects look to be in their mid- to late 20s. Anyone with information about them is asked to call Stamford police at 203-977-4444.
