Stamford man calls 911 after 3-hour standoff with cat

A Stamford man is OK today after calling 911 after getting into a three-hour standoff with his cat.

Police say the man told officers that his 7.5-pound cat attacked him when he tried to go inside of his home on Shippan Avenue early Wednesday morning.

They say the man eventually went inside and went to bed.

But police say they told both parties to stay away from each other for the rest of the night.
