Motorcyclist seriously injured in Stamford hit-and-run

Stamford Police say a driver is facing multiple charges this morning after he struck a motorcyclist and took off.

Police say 40-year-old Byron Luna Perez was driving a Honda when he struck the motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of West and Baxter avenues.

Police say Perez took off but a witness got his license plate number and he is now charged with driving under the influence and evading the scene of an accident.
