Savonnie McNeil, the man killed in the Trumbull Gardens shooting, was laid to rest Thursday.
The final goodbyes for McNeil, of Shelton, began with a wake and were followed by a funeral at the Messiah Baptist Church.
McNeil was hanging out with friends in a parking lot near where he grew up when the three gunmen fired over 40 bullets from semi-automatic weapons.
Eight other people were wounded in the shooting.
Police say they have some strong leads they are pursuing in the case.
