Body found at Seaside Park in Bridgeport
Police pulled a man's body from the Long Island Sound at Seaside Park in Bridgeport Friday.
The deceased was carrying identification, but police say they are withholding the name pending notification of his family.
The Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Steamship Authority says the man was a walk-on passenger on the ferry last night. Officials say he boarded at Port Jefferson on Long Island, but it's uncertain how he wound up in the water.
Bridgeport police and the Coast Guard were already searching for the body when a 911 caller reported spotting it at Seaside Park.
The investigation is ongoing.
