Bus driver saves man pinned under lawn mower
A bus driver rescued a Norwalk man who became trapped under his own overturned lawn mower on West Cedar Street.
Robert Lane says his lawn mower tipped over and landed on top of him before Wilma Santana stopped her bus, got out and helped.
The mower blades were running during the incident, but no one was injured. Santana's actions left Lane with a lasting impression.
"The look of her face, the concern in her eyes was totally genuine," Lane says. "I felt like I was OK when I looked up and saw her there, and I truly, from the bottom of my heart, wanted to thank her for caring."
Santana says she was just doing her job.
