Police mark 2 weeks since Trumbull Gardens shooting
Police say they are close to making arrests in the Trumbull Gardens housing complex shootings that left one dead and eight injured two weeks ago in Bridgeport.
A funeral service for 37-year-old Savonnie McNeil, of Shelton, was held last week. His mother, Belinda McNeil, has called for the gunmen to turn themselves in.
Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi told News 12 that he could not release many details because of the sensitivity of the investigation.
Detectives have reportedly been working closely with members of the community and are following up on tips called in from the public. They are asking anybody else who may have seen the shooting to call a special hotline set up for the investigation.
