Family, friends and community members said their final farewells to the Milford police officer found dead in his home earlier this week.
As previously reported, authorities said Officer Michael Compare, 36, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday morning.
A funeral Mass was held for Compare Saturday morning at the Saint Ann Church on Naugatuck Avenue.
Milford police say surrounding departments provided mutual aid Saturday so officers could attend the funeral.
