The annual Fourth of July Push-n-Pull Parade was held Saturday in Darien.
Hosted by Darien VFW Post 6933, the parade included wagons, baby carriages and tricycles decorated in red, white and blue. Children were encouraged to decorate their own tiny forms of transportation.
The parade stepped off at the Goodwives Shopping Center and marched down Post Road. Afterward, people gathered at Tilley Pond Park to continue their holiday celebrations with music, food and games.
Residents who took part say they hope children of all ages learned something about what makes Independence Day special.
