Police seek driver who dumped items on street

Stamford police are seeking the public's help in finding the driver responsible for illegally dumping items on the side of the road.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck dumped a mattress, box spring and two TVs on the curb. It happened early one morning last month on Stephen Street.

Earlier this year, a man was arrested for allegedly dumping a sofa on the same street.

City officials say taxpayers must now assume the cost of removing the items.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Stamford police.
