Bridgeport community members and local organizations united Sunday in an effort to keep Remington Beach at Seaside Park clean.
Organizers say the beach cleanup is all about getting ready for the upcoming Gathering of the Vibes music festival, which will be held at the beach.
The Connecticut Citizens Campaign for the Environment says it is are pairing up with organizations like the Terrapin Foundation and the Green Vibes to make the beach as clean as possible.
The 20th annual Gathering of the Vibes festival will take place from July 30 to Aug. 2.
