Former Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim submits signatures for primary ballot
Former Mayor Joe Ganim became the first of Bridgeport's petitioning democratic candidates for mayor to submit the signatures required to get on the primary ballot Monday.
Ganim says he got well over the 1,800 required signatures, and will continue to get more until the August 12 deadline.
Last week, Mayor Bill Finch officially won the democratic party's endorsement.
Charlie Coviello, Howard Gardner and Mary Jane Foster are also collecting signatures to ensure their place on the ballot.
