5 luxury cars stolen from Fairfield dealership

Fairfield police say they are searching for the thieves responsible for stealing five luxury vehicles from a local dealership.

Police say the cars were taken from Mercedes Benz of Fairfield sometime between July 16 and 21. They say the dealership wasn't aware that the cars were missing until two were found in Yonkers and three in The Bronx.

Officials say they are trying to determine if all the vehicles were taken at the same time, or if the thieves returned to the dealership to take more cars after the initial theft.

Police say that the make and model of the cars are important in figuring out who is responsible.
