A Stratford woman is facing charges after police say she stole and forged checks that belonged to a deceased Fairfield woman. Police say 34-year-old Valerie Gomez-Delavega, cashed six forged checks

Police: Woman forged, cashed over $4K of dead Fairfield resident's checks
A Stratford woman is facing charges after police say she stole and forged checks that belonged to a deceased Fairfield woman.
Police say 34-year-old Valerie Gomez-Delavega, cashed six forged checks that totaled over $4,000.
Police say the checks were cashed between February and March of 2015.
They say they arrested Gomez-Delavega Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Casino
