A proposed law would give property owners just one week to initiate repairs on their blighted homes.
The law would gives owners one week to repair their homes or they will be charged with fines up to $100 a day.
City workers would have the right to come onto the properties, but only with a court order or the owner's permission.
There was a public hearing on the matter Thursday night at the Stamford Government Center.
