A Woodbridge man is dead after hitting a bull with his car in Vermont.

Published reports say 64-year-old Jon M. Bellis was driving in Killington Friday night when he struck a large Scottish Highlander Bull that had escaped from its pasture.

Vermont State police say the car then veered down a hill before colliding with a tree.

Reports say Bellis was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger 60-year-old Kathryn Barry, also of Woodbridge, suffered a wrist injury.
