Bridgeport man charged in road rage incident
Police say a Bridgeport man is facing charges after throwing a cup of hot coffee at a woman during a road rage incident.
Alfredo Weismann, 35, was charged with throwing objects on a highway and breach of the peace after he allegedly threw hot coffee at a 66-year-old woman who would not let him merge in front of her. The incident happened near Exit 26 on I-95 Thursday, according to police.
The woman, who was not hurt, pulled over and called police.
"He was trying to talk to her through an open window, she did the right thing, she tried to roll up her window," Connecticut State Lt. Kenneth Cain says.
Cain says other steps to take when facing someone with road rage is to lock your doors, keep the windows up and give yourself enough room on the road to maneuver around.
Weismann is due in court Aug. 10.
