Police seek man in death after bar fight

Authorities are still trying to track down the man allegedly involved in a bar fight at a local restaurant that led to a drowning nearly a week ago.

Wayne Bentley, 42, a West Haven resident, drowned in Ash Creek behind local neighborhood hangout Chubby's Pub. The other man involved in the fight with Bentley fled the scene, according to police.

People in the community expressed their anxiety over the alleged suspect's whereabouts. They say they are hoping the case gets resolved soon.

Police say they expect the medical examiner to determine the cause of Bentley's death within a matter of days.
