A Bridgeport woman whose brother was murdered 18 years ago says that there are shocking conditions at the cemetery where he is buried.

Vanessa Rosa's brother, Isidro, was shot and killed in 1997. Rosa says that it's painful to come back to the area where her brother was shot, but it's equally painful to visit the cemetery where he is buried.

She and other families say that in recent months, Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton has fallen badly into disrepair.

Rosa says that personal items that families left at graves had apparently been run over by lawn mowers and strewn about.

News 12 Connecticut reached out to Mountain Grove Cemetery for comment, but they did not return any phone calls.
