Police: Man died after being hit with Taser

State police say a 26-year-old man died after a Hartford police officer used a stun gun on him.

Police say they responded to a disturbance involving a 400-pound man Friday night.

Officials say that man, Matthew Russo, became violent, and was hit with a Taser.

Officers say Russo then began to have difficulty breathing.

They say he was given immediate medical care and was taken to the hospital where he later died.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
