Ex-girlfriend accused of trying to blowup Stamford man's apartment

Stamford police say a Norwalk woman is behind bars today for trying to blow up her ex-boyfriend's apartment.

Police say 52-year-old Ana Ramos broke into the man's apartment on Vernon Street Tuesday morning.

They say she used an iron to burn his sheets and that she turned on the gas hoping her ex would light up a cigarette and blow himself up.

Police say she admitted to her ex that she was trying to cause an explosion.
