Bridgeport police investigate 2 shootings in East End

Bridgeport police took to the streets after multiple shootings Sunday night left two people injured.
Officers walked through the East End neighborhood to address safety concerns residents may have.
Police say it is important to have an open line of communication with residents, as that will make them more inclined to come to the police department to report crimes or problems in the neighborhood.
Officials also say they will increase the number of police officers in the community during different times of the day.
The first shooting Sunday night took place near the intersection of Clifford Street and Newfield Avenue, where one man was shot in the back and arm. The second shooting occurred nearby.
One victim is in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
