3 shot in Bridgeport's east side

Police say three people are recovering after being shot in Bridgeport's East End neighborhood.
They say the shootings happened before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the shootings happened at East Main and Stillman streets. Police say one victim was shot after leaving Rainbow Restaurant. They say he was carrying home food for his family.
Police say that another man was shot inside of a home on William Street.
It's unclear if the shootings were related, but police say both incidents involved groups of young men.
Bridgeport Police Chief Joe Gaudett says he has placed more officers in the area due to an increase in shootings in the neighborhood.
Police say they will also host a gun buyback event at the Community Services Division Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
