Bridgeport police host gun buyback program

Bridgeport police announced the city will hold another gun buyback event this weekend.  Police say the department will accept working weapons at the Sylvan Avenue substation from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Bridgeport police host gun buyback program
Bridgeport police announced the city will hold another gun buyback event this weekend. 
Police say the department will accept working weapons at the Sylvan Avenue substation from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. tomorrow.
Officials say residents can receive $100 for a rifle, $200 for a hand gun, and up to $400 for an assault rifle.
They say 1,000 guns have been turned in through buyback programs over the past three years.
