DMV temporarily closes license renewal centers

The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles says it is temporarily closing its driver's license renewal centers statewide.
Officials say employees are being transferred to full-time offices where wait times of up to five hours have been reported. The long wait times came after a brief closure to upgrade the DMV's computer system.
The DMV says its Stamford and Milford locations will reopen with their regular schedules once the full-time offices catch up with the workload.
