Summer heat has residents wishing for winter

Even though summer is winding down, temperatures remain high.

The heat has many residents taking shelter indoors, waiting for the weather outside to change.

Residents don't have to think very far back to remember colder days. Last winter saw nearly 5 feet of snow, and the end of February saw record-breaking subzero temperatures.

Those hoping for cooler weather may not want it that cold, but they'll get their wish soon enough.
