Hundreds participate in 'Give a Child a JumpStart' race benefiting children with special needs in Stamford
Hundreds of people laced up their sneakers for a good cause in Stamford on Monday.
Participants took part in either a 5K or 10K at the "Give a Child A JumpStart" run or walk race.
The race benefits JumpStart, the Stamford Jewish Community Center's preschool program for children with special needs.
More than 500 people came out to today's race.
Organizers say their goal was to raise $50,000.
