Police: Stamford man chased roommate's cousin with a machete, threatened to kill him

A Stamford man is facing charges for allegedly threatening a house guest with a machete.

Police say 21-year-old Edgar Arriaga-Martinez was arrested Saturday at his home on Stephen Street.

Arriaga-Martinez was allegedly drunk and began telling his roommate's cousin that he would kill him and flee the country.

Police say he eventually grabbed a machete, chased the victim into a closet and began thrusting the blade under the door in an attempt to cut the victim's feet.
