Hartford is at the top of the list in New England as the city with the most homicides.
Police say a 34-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in the city's 25th homicide.
There were 19 murders last year.
The Hartford Courant says the capitol city inched past Boston last week for most homicides this year in New England.
Boston is second with 23, Springfield is third with 14 and New Haven is fourth with 11.
Bridgeport so far this year has had 10 homicides and Stamford has had one.
