FAA: Pilot in fatal crash was licensed
Authorities now say the teenage pilot from Ridgefield killed in a crash in New York Sunday was licensed to carry passengers. A previous report claimed Carey Depuy was not licensed to travel with passengers.

Authorities now say the teenage pilot from Ridgefield killed in a crash in New York Sunday was licensed to carry passengers.
A previous report claimed Carey Depuy was not licensed to travel with passengers.
That information contradicts records from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Depuy and another Ridgefield teen, Ryan Adams, died in the crash.
Both were students at Colgate University.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
