Man accused of raping his longtime girlfriend
Stamford police say a man is charged with raping and slashing his girlfriend.
Officers arrested Roberto Diaz, 44, Thursday.
Investigators say Diaz punched, strangled and raped his girlfriend of 20 years after accusing her of cheating on him.
Police say he also slashed the woman's arm with a piece from a broken vase and she needed stitches.
