Fairfield Warde holds mock drinking and driving accident

With prom season in full swing, students in Fairfield are getting a stark reminder about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Fairfield Warde High School hosted a mock accident this morning in the high school parking lot.

Students worked with first responders to act out the immediate aftermath of a drinking and driving accident.

Organizers say they want students to have the accident scene fresh in their minds Saturday night at the prom.

They say the mock crash is a collaboration between first responders, the school and a funeral home.

They say it's been conducted each year since 2008.
