Police: 2 arrested for bat and metal pipe assault

Orange police arrested a West Haven man and a Bridgeport woman Friday morning for an assault with a metal pipe and baseball bat.

According to the Orange Police Department Facebook page, officers picked up Carl Davis, 21, and Tashawna Meadows, 19, Friday morning at the Bridgeport Police Department, where they were being held on an unrelated matter.

They were brought back to the Orange Police Department and processed for warrants that stemmed from an incident in April in which Davis and Meadows allegedly arrived at a private residence in Orange and attacked the people inside with a metal pipe and a baseball bat.

Both were charged with second-degree assault, first-degree burglary and disorderly conduct. Meadows was additionally charged with criminal violation of a protective order. They were held on a $15,000 bond and arraigned that day.
