Police: Dispute led to apparent hit-and-run in Bridgeport

Police say some sort of dispute apparently led to a hit-and-run in Bridgeport.

The incident occurred Monday evening on Seawater Avenue near the I-95 entrance ramp.

A witness says she saw a man attacking a woman in the middle of Seaview Avenue and called 911. She says she saw the woman get in the car with a friend and take off. Before that, though, the witness recalls seeing the vehicle knock down the alleged male assailant, go into reverse and get onto the highway.

Police confirm that the man was hit and taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Bridgeport police.
