Families of 2 missing people call for public's help

Two Bridgeport families came together Wednesday to ask for help finding their missing children.

Brianna Schroeder, 15, was last seen by family members on Sunday, and investigators say they believe she is with 20-year-old Michael Pettway. Schroeder was last seen on Bridgeport's north end on Main Street.

Police Chief AJ Perez says investigators are focused on returning the two to their families first, rather than looking at possible criminal charges. Investigators say Pettway and Schroeder knew each other and were close before they went missing.

Community activist Wayne Winston brought the parents of Brianna and Michael together in order to mediate their differences and focus on finding the two.

Bridgeport police ask anyone with information on Schroeder or Pettway to contact them.
