4-year-old falls from second-floor window

Police say a 4-year-old girl was hospitalized after falling from the window of an apartment in Bridgeport.

It happened yesterday evening at 70 McKinley Ave.

Police say the girl fell through the screen from her second-floor apartment window.

Bridgeport Police Chief A.J. Perez says the little girl's father heard commotion, looked outside the window, and saw his daughter lying on the ground.

Chief Perez says the 4-year-old was bleeding and calling for her mom.

The girl was reportedly hospitalized with a fractured skull and bleeding in her brain.

At this point, Chief Perez says he does not believe charges will be filed. He believes this incident will be treated as an accident.
