A Connecticut man will be heading back to prison more than 24 years after he allegedly violated parole.
A state court rejected the appeal of Prince Lewis, of New London, on Tuesday.
He argued that he should remain free after he stopped showing up to parole meetings in 1989 because the state didn't do enough to find him.
He was extradited back to Connecticut in 2013.
Lewis' lawyers say the state had several opportunities to track him down, pointing out that he was arrested 15 times in those 24 years and was convicted of seven crimes.
