Bridgeport police arrest 50-year-old man in drug bust

A Bridgeport man is in custody after police say they found drugs at his home.

Police say they arrested 50-year-old Darryl Givens after raiding his house on Bell Street Friday.

Police say they found a pound of pot, crack and powdered cocaine, a gun and $3,400 in cash at the home.

Police Chief AJ Perez says officers tracked Givens for nearly two months and were finally able to make an arrest when they saw him making a drug deal.

Investigators say Givens faces additional charges for having drugs within $1,500 feet of Harding High School.

They say they also charged the man he sold the drugs to.
