Greenwich police probe if string of burglaries are connected

Greenwich police are investigating a string of recent burglaries in the area that may be connected.
One of the incidents being probed is a smash-and-grab burglary that occurred early Friday morning at the Stateline Deli on West Putnam Avenue. Police say the suspects broke through the glass front door, stole money and fled the scene.
The family-run deli has been open for 23 years and says it had been previously burglarized.
Another burglary happened last Friday morning at the Sunoco gas station on the corner of East Putnam Avenue and Indian Field Road. Similar to the deli, police say the suspects broke in through the front door and stole cash.
Police believe the Greenwich incidents may be connected to a couple of gas station smash-and-grabs that same morning over the state border in New York.
