Police make arrest in Norwalk stabbing

Norwalk police on Wednesday arrested a man in connection with a stabbing at an apartment complex.

The stabbing stemmed from a fight at the Main Avenue Apartments at 356 Main Ave. The confrontation escalated and resulted in one man being left with multiple stab wounds.

A search for the suspect led police to Linden Terrace where they arrested 20-year-old Plinio Chavez, who lives at the complex.

Police say the victim was sent to Norwalk Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Chavez was being held on $20,000 bond and is due in Norwalk court June 17.
