Senate scheduled to vote on new gun control measures on Monday
The Senate will take on a vote on several gun control proposals Monday.
News 12 Connecticut's Leah Mishkin spoke with Sen. Chris Murphy about the vote.
Sen. Chris Murphy spoke on the floor for almost 15 hours this week with fellow democrats fighting for Congress to take action on gun control.
He says it was anger and frustration that kept him going especially after having witnessed the devastation of Sandy Hook.
Murphy says the two measures on the floor will be on preventing people who are on the no fly list from buying a gun and an expansion of background checks.
