As News 12 Connecticut has reported, police said they were called to Burr Street last Wednesday for a report of shots fired. Police said no one was hit and that they had no suspects.
Police say some of the recent violence has been a result of rivalries between young men on Spruce Street and Connecticut Avenue.
Neighbors in the area say they are planning to attend the West Side Association Meeting on Tuesday at the Yerwood Center to speak to the mayor about the recent violence. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
