Riverfest Hartford is set for Saturday, July 9, 2016. Riverfest will be complimented by the Riverfest Food Truck Festival at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, along with the annual festivities on both sides of the river. Fireworks Saturday around 9 p.m.

New Canaan Family Fourth of July Celebration

The 36th Annual Family Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Wavenly Park. Late day activities will include family picnicking, live music, children's games, food court and a spectacular fireworks display. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking; passes can be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall or online by residents. Rain Date of Tuesday, July 5, 2016 (fireworks only).

 

Newington's Annual Extravaganza

The 35 annual Extravaganza will feature food vendors, musicians, paddleboats, entertainment, fireworks, games and many other family-oriented activities. Over 100 vendors are expected to join this year, including artists and crafters, nonprofit organizations and civic groups, and local businesses. Admission and parking are free. The event will conclude with a spectacular evening fireworks display over Mill Pond Park.
