Westport firefighters rescue kitten

Westport firefighters came to the rescue in a unique situation.

They pulled a kitten from the engine area of a car on Wednesday.

Firefighters say a woman says she heard meowing from inside her car after she drove to the Fairfield County Hunt Club Horse Show.

Firefighters at the show spent two hours taking car parts off until they found the kitten hiding in a space between the bumper and the radiator.

They say they handed the kitten over to a veterinarian who was already on site for the horse show.
