Gov. Dannel Malloy says more job layoffs to come

Gov. Dannel Malloy says more layoffs are on the way as the state trims its workforce in an effort to cut spending.
So far, the budget office says more than 1,000 pink slips have been handed out to state employees.
The layoffs are being made across the board, affecting several state departments from the Department of Children and Families to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office.
The cuts are just part of the plan to close a projected $900 million deficit in Connecticut's new budget, which begins on July 1.
