West Haven police officer fighting for life after motorcycle crash

A West Haven police officer is fighting for his life today after being thrown from his motorcycle along the Taconic State Parkway.

Chopper 12 was above the scene in New York after the officer was airlifted to a medical center for life-threatening injuries.

Several officers were on the parkway from different agencies doing a motorcycle training exercise.

They say a car came on to the road and two officers collided while trying to get out of the way.

The other officer was not hurt.

So far, no charges have been filed.
