18-year-old due in Westport court for car chase

An 18-year-old man is due in court today for allegedly running from police in Westport and lying to officers about his name.

Police say Tyler Carey was one of four people inside a car that was reported stolen out of Westport.

Investigators say the driver fled police, but crashed into a utility police in Fairfield while exiting I-95.

Officers say Carey, 19-year-old Denise Marquez and a teenager were arrested when they tried to run.

Police say the driver of the stolen vehicle is still on the loose.
