Memorial fundraiser to be held for man killed in Bridgeport crash

Family and friends are gathering Saturday to remember a Stamford man killed in a crash in Bridgeport on Father's Day.
As News 12 reported, Felipe "Petey" Soto was killed after police say a driver slammed into his car. Police say the driver was going so fast that the impact split his car in two.
Soto's loved ones will honor his birthday Saturday at an event that will also serve as a fundraiser for his 5-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
Police say the other driver involved remains in the hospital and was seriously injured from the crash.
News 12 is told investigators recovered a data recorder from his car and ran toxicology tests on his blood.
They also say video before the crash shows him excessively speeding and that charges are expected.
"I'll never get Petey back, but I do want my justice for my son and I'm going to fight for it," says Soto's mother, Sonia Vargas Torres.
The event for Soto is open to the public and free. It will begin at 8 p.m. at Agave Cafe in Bridgeport.
