Local doctors warned residents in southwestern Connecticut to be careful in Wednesday's extreme heat.
They urged people to take precautions like wearing light clothing, drinking a lot of water and staying in shaded areas if possible.
Doctors believe they could see several cases of heat-related injuries by the end of the week.
As of Wednesday, the number of heat-related injuries were low.
