Police: Horse falls out of trailer on I-91

State police say a horse is safely back with his owner this afternoon after he was found wandering on I-91 overnight.

Troopers say the horse kicked open his trailer and fell out around Exit 21 in Cromwell around 1 a.m. today.

Police say they found the owner on I-95 in Stratford a short time later.

They say the horse suffered a few cuts and scrapes, but is otherwise OK.
